The story of the Robinson Helicopter Company began with the R22 helicopter. This light two-seater helicopter has proven its efficiency by fulfilling various tasks of its owners for more than thirty years.
Today, R22 uses all of Robinson's latest technology, including its streamlined instrument panel and crush-worthy bladder fuel tanks. Robinson R22 is powered by the Lycoming O-360 piston engine which is derated to provide reserve power. R22 is ideal for pilot training and incredibly economical — operating costs are about $ 150 per hour.
